QUESTION: I'm looking at getting one of the Dakota R/T's, but I can't afford it until the summer of '99. Do you have any idea of how I would go about finding out if Dodge is going to make the R/T for the 2000 model year? Also if there is any possibility of a 5-speed being put in it? I would very much appreciate the help!!

ANSWER: I held off on answering until I could visit with Chrysler in Detroit. Yes, David, Dodge is going to continue with the R/T, and they are going to offer a four-door Crew Cab Dakota, but not an R/T. The 5.9 doesn't come with a manual, and there are no announced plans to include one.
