2003 Dodge Durango Mid-Size SUV

More standard equipment goes into Dodge's four-door sport-utility wagon based on the Dakota truck. Standard brakes consist of a disc at every wheel, standard wheels amount to 16-inch aluminum alloys, and the standard transmission for Durango's optional 235 hp 4.7-liter V8 is Dodge's new five-speed automatic also used in Dakota and Ram. Two traction modes are available, plus trim designations of SXT, SLT, SLT Plus and racy R/T. The R/T amounts to a high-performance SUV with sport-tuned suspension and Dodge's Magnum 5.9-liter V8 engine ripped to 245 hp. SXT serves as the entry-level Durango with graphite-tinted fixtures for fenders and bumpers, plus standard interior elements such as bucket seats, air conditioning and a CD deck. New color choices on Durango include Timberline Green and Light Almond.
