Arriving later for 2006 is Audi's Q7 SUV. Patterned after a Pikes Peak Quattro concept vehicle, Q7 shows five doors and seven seats on three tiers with class-busting spaciousness and the luxurious cabin comforts of Audi's large sedans.

Audi of Germany applies alphanumeric names to cars sorted by size and the number of cylinders in an engine -- thus model tags like A4, A6 and A8. Further, in Audi's lingo the Avant label denotes a station wagon format, FrontTrak means front-wheel-drive (FWD) and Quattro signifies all-wheel-drive (AWD) with a permanently engaged mechanism that distributes the engine's power to all wheels. Currently, Audi is revising the entire line through a three-year process that begin in 2004 with a new treatment of the high-tech flagship sedan, A8L. Chiseled from aluminum with a space frame structure stretched to extravagant length, A8L also brings an elegant cabin with limousine luxuries.
