50 Collectible Corvettes to Set Hearts Pounding at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auction Palm Beach, Florida -- Fifty highly sought Corvettes will be sold at no reserve during the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auction. With models ranging from 1954 through 2004, this is one of the best selections of America's sports car ever offered at a Barrett-Jackson event. The 3rd Annual Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Collector Car Auction and Lifestyle Exposition is scheduled for March 31 - April 3, 2005 at the South Florida Expo Center in Palm Beach, Fla., with the signature kick-off gala taking place the evening of March 31, 2005. "Corvettes are in high demand among collectors," commented Craig Jackson, President of the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company. "The red-blooded American sports car stole the show at our Scottsdale auction in January of this year, where we sold quite a collection of pristine Corvettes, one-of-a-kind concepts and customs." Collectors have consistently demonstrated that the Corvette remains as one of the most desirable sports cars in the world. Several of the iconic cars have achieved record-setting prices at Barrett-Jackson events. "The group of cars available at the Palm Beach event range from an immaculate 1954 to a 2004 Daytona Pace Car, highlighted by the coveted 1967 427/435 model," added Jackson. "One lucky buyer will also have the opportunity to purchase a matched set, coupe and convertible, both award winning 1972 LT-1's, selling as a pair. With the quality and breadth of the special cars we've attracted for the Palm Beach event, we anticipate the strong demand for Corvettes to continue. Enthusiasts will have a great time choosing from this selection of collectible Corvettes." The Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auction is scheduled for March 31 - April 3, 2005, at the South Florida Expo Center. This year's event will include over 400 quality collector cars all, selling at no reserve. Also featured will be "Car Collecting and Restoration Clinics" presented by ARMO, a SEMA council, which will be held throughout the weekend and complement the various unique vendor displays.
