Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas today announced that Bullfrog, Wahweap and Halls Crossing Marinas are fully operational and open to the public; and that several options exist for launching boats on the lake. Contrary to recent reports, Bullfrog Marina is fully functional and is open to the public including the Bullfrog boat rental office, floating restroom facility, shaded waiting area, utility center and rental slips.
Bullfrog Marina offers visitors houseboat, powerboat and PWC rentals, as well as lodging accommodations at Defiance House Lodge or its spacious Family Units.
Visitors can also opt to dine at Bullfrog's Anasazi Restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. The marina's facilities also include campgrounds for tent camping and an RV park.
Bullfrog's public boat ramp is currently closed to large boating vessels, however, operators of small vessels and personal watercraft (PWC) may elect to launch at their own risk. Furthermore, the dirt ramp located adjacent to the public ramp at Bullfrog may also be used at the operator's own risk.
Wahweap Marina, the largest of the three marinas, also offers a large selection of houseboat rental options, powerboat and PWC rentals. Additionally, Wahweap's newly re-named Lake Powell Resort offers lake and resort-view rooms featuring spectacular views of America's second largest man-made lake and its impressive red rock landscape.
Lake Powell Resort also offers visitors upscale and casual dining at its Rainbow Room, Driftwood Lounge or Bene Pizzeria, as well as locally inspired shopping. The property also features two swimming pools, a hot tub and an exercise room.
Additional amenities at Wahweap Marina include extended loading and unloading walkways and ramps, fuel dock piping, additional parking facilities and the extension of Wahweap's public launch ramp, which still remains open.
Halls Crossing Marina facilities include daily slip rentals, fuel docks and a marina store, which was recently relocated to provide convenient and safe accessibility. The public launch ramp at Halls Crossing also is open to the public.
Lodging options at Halls Crossing Marina include spacious Family Units, campgrounds for tented camping and an RV park. A snack bar and gas station also are available.
