Restaurants: From the Garden to the Table in Scottsdales

Scottsdale’s newest resort offering, the Radisson Fort McDowell Resort & Casino, features the new Anhala Restaurant. Anhala translates to “mesquite,” and the kitchen prepares local Native American fare, indigenous Mexican specialties and authentic mesquite-grilled cuisine. Chef Brian works directly with the nation’s Fort McDowell Yavapai Farm and showcases locally grown citrus, pecans and herbs in the menu elections. Signature menu items include Squash Blossom Beignets (Native American flower of the calabasa, stuffed with goat cheese, cream cheese, chorizo, and jalapeño lightly fried and served with fresh tomatillo and salsa mexicana), the Tamale Trio (red chili duck confit, green chili lobster, and huitlacoche sweet corn avocado, achiote, and chipotle creams), Pasta Sedona (mesquite grilled chicken, scallops, and shrimp with napolito cactus and roasted peppers on cilantro jalapeño fettuccini) and Medallions of Beef Mushroom Duette (beef tenderloin, dusted with wild mushroom powder saut©ed to order and finished with chipotle chantrelle cream).
