The Paradores of Puerto Rico Present Good Value in Charming Settings

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- Exploring Puerto Rico is as easy as renting a car and driving along a highway or coastline road and taking in the diverse topography, attractions and activities. There is no better way to complete this experience than by staying in the many of the island's Paradores. From the lush green of El Yunque to the black coral wall off the coast of La Parguera or the clear blue surfing waters of Rincon, these small lodgings offer locations that fulfill the interests of a wide variety of travelers. Through October 2005, selected Paradores throughout the island are offering guests special discounted rates. These Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC) endorsed properties are a great idea for an affordable and unique tropical vacation.

"We encourage travelers to choose our Paradores for their next vacation, and truly experience our culture and history in a very personal way. Each Parador has something different to offer in its style and history, yet they all share the same mission of family ownership and pride in personalized service to guests," said Terestella Gonzalez Denton, Executive Director of PRTC.

Puerto Rico's collection of Paradores are scattered throughout the island's mountains and coasts -- either in small towns or tranquil, beautiful locations. These wonderful inns offer the true sense of the island's essence. Their affordable rates range from as low as $69 per night to two nights for $299, and include extra enticements such as meals, live music, free tennis lessons, karaoke, evening boating excursions and happy hours (varies by property.)

This offer is good through October 31, 2005. A 15% discount is reflected for the daily rate (Sunday through Thursday) and special discounts are reflected for weekend rates (Friday through Saturday). Up to two kids under twelve stay free. Certain restrictions apply. For more information on this promotion and on the Paradores of Puerto Rico, visit www.gotoparadores.com or call 800-981-7575.
