Model(s): Porsche Carrera, 911, and Boxter model vehicles equipped with the child seating system air bag deactivation kit.
Production Dates: 1997 and 1998

Defect: Due to a manufacturing problem, the contact buckle does not deactivate the air bag.

Corrective Action: Dealers will install a modified air bag deactivation kit.
