Chrysler Announces Pricing for New 2005 Crossfire Lineup

Coming off a record sales month for Crossfire, Chrysler announced pricing today for its expanded new lineup of 2005 Crossfires.

The Crossfire lineup now includes Coupe, Roadster, and the race-inspired, performance-enhanced SRT-6 Coupe and Roadster. New Crossfire models start to arrive this spring.

"Tested at 150 miles per hour, the new 2005 Chrysler Crossfire gets the adrenaline flowing," said Jeff Bell, Vice President, Chrysler. "With dynamic, head-turning proportions and proven technology, Crossfire is the ultimate Chrysler. For 2005, we've expanded our Crossfire menu to include three flavors: Coupe, Roadster, and SRT-6."

2005 Chrysler Crossfire Roadster

Crossfire Roadster was revealed at this year's North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. Crossfire Roadster will be offered with two transmission options, a standard six-speed manual or optional five-speed automatic with AutoStick(R).

The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the six-speed manual Crossfire Roadster is $34,960, which includes $875 for destination. Standard premium amenities include a power convertible fabric top, full power hard tonneau, heated glass back light, power windows, speed control, dual-zone temperature control, four-wheel anti-lock brakes with brake assist, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), all-speed traction control, and Chrysler's 7/70 powertrain warranty.

The MSRP for the Chrysler Crossfire Roadster Limited with a six-speed manual is $38,920, which includes $875 for destination. Standard features include a power convertible fabric top, full power hard tonneau, power windows, speed control, heated leather power seats, dual-zone temperature control, four-wheel anti-lock brakes with brake assist, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), all-speed traction control, tire pressure monitoring system, touring gear, heated mirrors, fog lamps, universal garage door opener, and Chrysler's 7/70 powertrain warranty.

And the MSRP for Chrysler Crossfire Roadster Limited with a five-speed automatic and AutoStick(R) is $39,995, which includes $875 for destination. Standard features include a power convertible fabric top, full power hard tonneau, power windows, speed control, heated leather power seats, dual-zone temperature control, four-wheel anti-lock brakes with brake assist, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), all-speed traction control, tire pressure monitoring system, touring gear, heated mirrors, fog lamps, universal garage door opener, and Chrysler's 7/70 powertrain warranty.

The new 2005 Chrysler Crossfire Roadster is available in seven colors: Classic Yellow, Aero Blue, Alabaster, Black, Blaze Red, Graphite Metallic and Sapphire Silver Blue.

2005 Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 Coupe and Roadster

The race-inspired, performance-enhanced Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 Coupe and Roadster were revealed earlier this month at the 74th Salon International de l'Automobile in Geneva. Crossfire will be the first Chrysler brand vehicle to wear the coveted SRT badge.

The Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 features a hand-built 320-horsepower 3.2- liter supercharged engine. Additional SRT cues include performance-tuned ride and handling characteristics, world class braking, performance-themed exterior design elements, and race-inspired interior appointments.

Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 boasts performance numbers unlike any vehicle in the history of the Chrysler brand. Estimated performance targets include 0-60 miles per hour in approximately five seconds, 60-0 miles-per-hour braking in approximately 115 feet, and 0-100-0 in the low-16 second range.

The MSRP for the Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 Coupe is $45,695, which includes $875 for destination. The MSRP for the Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 Roadster is $49,995, which also includes $875 for destination. Standard features include a power convertible fabric top, full power hard tonneau, power windows, speed control, heated leather power seats, dual-zone temperature control, four-wheel anti-lock brakes with brake assist, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), all- speed traction control, tire pressure monitoring system, touring gear, heated mirrors, fog lamps, and universal garage door opener.

The new 2005 Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 Coupe and Roadster are available in four colors: Aero Blue, Black, Graphite Metallic and Sapphire Silver Blue.

2005 Chrysler Crossfire Coupe

Chrysler will further expand the Crossfire lineup to include Crossfire coupe with an MSRP of $29,920, which includes $875 for destination. The entry-level coupe is a six-speed manual with standard features including power windows, speed control, dual-zone temperature control, four-wheel anti-lock brakes with brake assist, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), all-speed traction control, and Chrysler's 7/70 powertrain warranty.

New 2005 Chrysler Crossfire Coupes are available in six colors: Aero Blue, Alabaster, Black, Blaze Red, Graphite Metallic and Sapphire Silver Blue.

Chrysler Brand Marketing

The introduction of the new 2005 Chrysler Crossfire Roadster and SRT-6 builds momentum for the Chrysler brand as it continues its rapid-fire product offensive this year.

Crossfire Roadster and SRT-6 are just two of five new Chrysler brand vehicles being launched this year including the Chrysler 300, Chrysler PT Convertible, and the Chrysler Town & Country, which features the industry's first Stow 'n Go seating and storage system.

Chrysler brand sales have gone from 221,990 in 1993 to more than 463,000 units in 2003. In addition, led by the introduction of both the Chrysler Pacifica and Crossfire coupe last year, sales of the Chrysler brand increased 24 percent during the fourth quarter of 2003.
