Chevrolet's full-size SUV for 2007 comes in three trims -- entry-level LS, well-equipped LT and top-tier LTZ -- with rear-wheel two-wheel-drive (2WD) or four-wheel-drive (4WD) traction. There's a new platform for the big wagon with a wider track and lower center of gravity to make Tahoe more stable in motion and, when coupled to a revamped suspension, improve the ride.
Two powerful Vortec V8 engines motivate the new Tahoe. Top plant is a 5.3-liter V8 with Active Fuel Management (AFM) technology to conserve on fuel. It achieves 320 hp with fuel-burn scores up to 20.5 mpg.
