Prevention! Prevention! Prevention! That is what is really
important about driving. (With kids or not!) I just myself
bought a new Kia rio RXV 2003 and first thing i know, a guy
cuts me off! Why? Because he was not looking in his blind
spot!!! Anyways, i thought to myself, what if it was me!
What would have been going through my head for me to cut
off someone? Well, anything actually! Work, family,
super... But there is something that you always do when you
are in your car with your family or alone, look in the rear
view mirror! It's easier to look in the rvm because you
don't have to turn your neck, twist your back, destabilize
your car (very dangerous here in Canada) and that is why
accidents happen people are to tired or just simply forget
to do these exercises. But where there is a will there is a
way!

Click on the link below proposition for not having to break
your back to drive properly! Anyways, is it not logical for
one to turn their back from the road in front of them!

Thank for your time.

Martin Pilon!

P.s. I hope that i contributed a bit to the general safety
of the roads with this!

P.S.S. Back to the guy that cut me off! We stopped at a red
light and instead of trying to boot the C**P out of him, i
showed him my way of preventing these situations and went
back to my thing. I don't know if he caught the drift, but
i felt as good as i am now writing this to anyone who wants
to read!

Glenard I love your responses. They are so thorough.

I've always wondered about the automakers that consistently
have bad blind sponts, like Chrysler. One would think this
would be something they would pay a lot of attention to.
But we find so many cars more difficult to see out of than
we should.

Prevention is in fact the key. People don't look where they
are going in front or in their mirrors. Scanninng the road
ahead followed by a qucik glimpse in the rear view followed
by a slight look in the left and right in the side mirrors
can prevent accidents and save lives and money.

All nations have this same problem, mainly inattentive and
careless driving. However, NOT turning your head to glance
at the "blind spot" is ALSO an irresponsible act. There are
several "methods" of mirror adjustment that claim to
eliminate the blind spots, but in truth, they merely narrow
it. The cars' physical construction and lane width
differences (from 12 feet to 9 feet), actually create these
blind spots.

It is NOT necessary to turn and "LOOK" into a blind
spot...a mere glance is all that is needed. After all, you
are not looking to identify make, model, and year! Merely
the presence, or lack of, a vehicle, before moving your car
into a lane.

Totally agree, Here in B.C Canada the Liberals got into
power, by taking away photo radar

Now without the radar vans park un announced at various
place on the highways

And the threat of getting an expensive speeding ticket

People Pass on double solid lines and speed
moreso than they ever did.

Whats wrong woth leaving a little earlier and driving
safely??

lots of folks complain about the speed limits being too
low

But it seems no matter what highway we are on and driving
the speed limits People still pass

Prevention is the key, and we must anticipate what other
drivers may do. Driving down the highway coming to a cross
road we must be prepared for some running the stop sign

and always remember to take a second look at all
intersections to make sure that people were not parked at
the curb, and have pulled out

and now are in the main traffic lanes, and as we get older
our sight is not as keen as when we were young

I find that gray colored vehicles are sometimes hard to
depict on Gray road surfaces The Daytime driving lamps have
really helped.
