Ask any transmission guy. Heat is definitely what stops a
tranny in its tracks.
My experience of 27 years has proven that Automatic
Transmission Fluid (ATF) from Amsoil will lower your
transmission temperatures! Often 20 to 50 degrees F.
It also lasts 3-5 longer than other fluids. The
environmental qualities of this company's products is what
1st got me interested years ago. A cool(er) RV is a Happy
RV ! PS- They also have one of the few non-toxic
engine/radiator Coolants around. (safer around kids, pets,
& water).
Before buying any product research it to see how safe it
is, how long it lasts...It's our Earth & your pocketbook at
stake. |

transmissions? Or just the ones with out a clutch? I've
never had an RV, but my mechanic tells me a broken tranny
can cost a lot of dough! |

Transmissions.
Yes, a Full synthetic ATF fluid (A.K.A. 'transmission oil')
like Amsoil makes is the cat's meow for keeping trannys
cooler and lasting longer.
Full synthetics are especially important IF you plan on
towing anything, whether with your RV , van, or truck.
Additional measures are to make sure you have (or get
installed) a transmission oil cooler, as large as can fit.
"Heat" is the #1 enemy of transmissions, period.
With cars, light trucks, & SUV's Amsoil's ATF can drop the
tranny's heat 20 to 50 degrees! I have never met a mechanic
or tranny man that was not impressed with this fluids
capabilities. Small company with great products.
I got involed with them in my college days because I saw
them as "the oil company of choice" of Environmentalists.
Plus, I liked their racing oil in my '69 Mach I. |
