Posted on: 04/06/2006 06:11 PM | I'm about to order tires for my car. It handles "funny" and
I've replaced the brakes, had the suspension checked, and
can't find anything else wrong. When driving on a straight
secluded road, I can jerk the wheel fast out and back and
it's really tight. But regular driving, making a turn at
an intersection, it feels "floaty." I'm hoping replacing
the tires will help. I have a few months wear on the ones
I have (August 2003), but I can't stand this loose feeling.
Does anyone know any other cause for that floating feeling?
The steering wheel is straight as an arrow when I let it go
on a straight road. There is no shaking or vibration of any
kind, and no noise. Just the annoying floating. It doesn't
feel secure like glue to the road like when it was newer.
Thanks. |
