good. Very exciting.
This is a series that has been around for a few years but
it has become the place where automakers are getting their
cars out in front of the public. |

place; a one-two finish. Audi was third.
Win on Sunday, sell on Monday will certainly apply to this
series and race. I hate to say it, but I liked the
performance of the Cadillacs, it was impressive. I just
don't like the way the street car looks.
This is really big for Cadillac because their LeMans
program was devoid of results for them. In fact they failed
miserably. This race totally changes the image of Cadillac.
I don't think Cadillac has had much in the way of major
race wins since the 50s or the 60s. This series could put
them back on the map.

consumers. It doesn't appeal to NASCAR fans; though it
could be the champagne set's NASCAR.
Touring car series attract a more upscale audience who are
more likely to be attracted to imports like Audi, BMW,
Volvo and perhaps now Cadillac. This could be the road
racing replacement, if CART dies, for the upscale,
car-buying, race-enthusiast crowd. |

Supercar Series also. This is what the Speed Channel World
Challenge could become.
I hope to be able to attend some of the races to photograph
them and cover them. If I do get to go, I'll be posting
about the races on Sunday evenings.
Check back. |
