2003 Toyota Prius Sub-Compact Gasoline Electric Hybrid Sedan

Price Quote

Toyota's hybrid sub-compact sedan has a roly-poly shell, a spacious interior with seats for five, and an engine compartment with two motors aboard -- a thrifty 1.5-liter four-in-line and an electric motor. A computer controls energy produced by the two plants and applies it to the front wheels in infinitely variable measures. Prius pulls down high fuel economy figures and qualifies as a SULEV (Super-Ultra Low Emission Vehicle). It accomplishes energy-saving feats without resorting to radical sheetmetal schemes or compromising on performance. Options include side-impact air bags, a navigation system and cruise control, with new color palette available in 2003, such as Blue Moon Pearl.
