The past few weeks have brought snowfalls and cold temperatures to New Hampshire ski resorts resulting in extensive snowmaking efforts setting the stage for an incredible holiday vacation. Every ski area in New Hampshire plans to be open for the holiday week, with many having almost all, or 100% of their terrain open. The recent snow will add to the already festive atmosphere at New Hampshire ski areas with a full slate of events on tap. Listed below are a sampling of events for the holidays; The festivities start December 24 at Loon Mt. with a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. Christmas Day is a great day to get a few runs in to earn that holiday meal. Several ski areas including Attitash, The Balsams Wilderness, Bretton Woods, Cranmore, Loon Mt., McIntyre, Mount Sunapee, Ragged Mt., and Waterville Valley plan to have lifts turning for the holiday, and even Santa may get out for a few turns that day at some New Hampshire ski areas. Bretton Woods has events running all week (December 26-30) including Family Fun Days with sing-alongs, cookie decorating, dog sled rides and more. They also host Kids' Apres Ski Parties that week with clowns, magicians, storytelling and more.
