Suv And Other Four-Wheelers Invited To Retrace The Famous Lassen-Applegate Trail In California

The 12th annual Lassen-Applegate Trail Ride, hosted by the California Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs, is scheduled for Friday, July 14 through Monday, July 17. The 200-mile off-highway vehicle trip will take guests from Lovelock, Nevada; through the Painted Canyon, Rabbit Creek Hole Springs, Black Rock Desert and conclude in California’s Modoc Country at Surprise Valley.

Participants will travel over many of the same roads and trails traveled by more than 8,000 early pioneers in 1,500 covered wagons during the 1849 to 1852 gold rush period. Cost is $250 per adult and $125 for children 12 and under. All meals are included.
