THE SCHOOL-Established in 1982 by double World Karting Champion Jim Hall II, Ventura's Jim Hall Kart Racing School is the longest-running and most recognized karting school in America. At Jim Hall, we have taught over 29,000 students the art and science - to say nothing of the pure thrill-of motor racing. With half-day to 4-day courses and even a full championship race series available, there's a class for every driver. THE TRACK-A serpentine series or hairpins, s-curves and high-speed straights winding through natural sand dunes, the Jim Hall track is the only coastal road course in North America. There are two challenging configurations to test kart and driver to their limits. And a uniquely privileged location on the Southern California coastline for ideal racing year-round.
THE KARTS-No suspension. No spoilers. Pure racing Machines distilled to the bare essentials. Start in 80-mph Sprint Karts to master technique. Then leap to 90-mh Shifter Karts. From 0-60 in under six seconds and clutchless sequential shifting, they're called the "closest thing to Formula One" for good reason.
THE INSTRUCTION-Led by Jim Hall II, our staff brings over 30 years of experience into the classroom and out to the track. Our instructors don't only teach, however-they race. This real-world experience translates to you as real results. Teaching is tailored to your level of skill and confidence. Class size is limited to ensure every student benefits from personal attention. And safety is stressed from the beginning, with much of the first day program dedicated to learning safety procedures. In fact, the Jim Hall Kart Racing School is rated in the same category of insurance as tennis and golf schools.
